2014
The Premise
Born in the kitchen.
Founded in Montreal by the legendary team behind Garde Manger, DINR started as a way to fill same-day cancellations, driven by a simple belief that the city's best tables shouldn't go empty.
2016
The Relationships
New cities, same standard.
DINR brought its curated reservation model to Toronto and Ottawa, connecting a broader community of diners to the most sought-after tables in each market.
2020
The Pause
The pandemic happened.
When dining rooms across the country closed during the pandemic, DINR went dark along with every other reservation platform in the country. With the hospitality landscape indefinitely paused, and all doors closed, the platform was placed on hold with no clear timeline for its comeback.
2022
The Revival
Reimagined from the outside in.
In 2022, Jennifer Tremblay and Paul Stasiewich, both avid DINR users, acquired and relaunched the app. They saw beyond the original utility, reimagining DINR as a national key to culinary culture.
2024
The Evolution
Invite-only for restaurants.
For a decade, restaurants paid a monthly subscription to be on DINR. In 2024, we eliminated that model entirely. We gave up a meaningful source of revenue to make DINR invite-only and merit-based. Restaurants would no longer pay for their place on the list. Alongside our partnership with Wealthsimple, DINR launches DINR Premium Memberships.
2025
The Paradigm Shift
A national standard.
DINR announces Strategic Partnership with Aeroplan and becomes the Operating Partner of Air Canada's Best New Restaurants, cementing our place as the country's most curated dining platform focused exclusively on the top culinary destinations.
